Job description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager plays a vital role in the activity of the quality assurance department. You work closely with other relevant departments in the company, such as R&D, and tasks are usually a mixture of hands-on QA work and line management. QA work is to maintain the current quality systems and reliability testing, so they meet quality standards. As well as this, processes and products are developed to improve product quality.

Education requirements begin with a relevant bachelor’s degree and in many cases, a technical degree or post-graduate degree is necessary. Completion of further education courses such as Six Sigma, or in areas such as quality engineer, quality auditor and quality improvement will usually be expected.
Skills and experience should relate to tools, terminology and methodologies used in quality assurance. This may include quality inspection, auditing, and testing and implementing corrective or preventive measures. Of course, you will be highly competent in database management and computer skills generally.
Depending on your qualifications and experience, and the size of the organisation, the salary of a Quality Assurance Manager in the Netherlands usually ranges from €46.000,- to €91.000,- per annum, depending on experience and the seniority of the position.
