Job description
In your role as QC Technician – Protein Analytics (PA) you are part of a team using various analytical methods. The team is assessing the quantity, potency and purity of intermediates, drug substances and products. For vaccines, you help to develop methods for characterisation and identity characteristics. You will be familiar with GMP manufacturing of biologic drugs and commercial manufacturing of other live microbial products, plus a range of therapeutic proteins and vaccines. This will involve all aspects of process and analytical development, including cell banking. You are also key in maintaining laboratory controls and appropriate methodology.

Educational requirements start with a bachelor degree (MLO or HLO ) or a master’s in analytical chemistry or a similar field. You will need working experience too, preferably in a relevant environment such as GMP or pharmaceuticals. This should be in an ML-II+ laboratory or higher, or in industry. Practical skills and knowledge of specific techniques in biomolecule analysis are preferred. These may include AUC, CE, DLS, FFF-MALS and LC.

The salary depends on your qualifications and experience, and the size of the organisation. However, the salary of a Lab Technician (PA) in the Netherlands usually ranges from €25.900,- to €45.400 per annum.
